Turn your codebase into a demo reel — captions and all.
Point Demo Maker at your project, review the script, hit render — and get six platform-ready MP4s (Full, GitHub, Twitter, Product Hunt, Instagram, TikTok), each sized and timed for where it's going.
v1.0.0 · Released June 2026 · Claude · Cursor · Codex plugin
You shipped it. Now you have to show it.
A good demo video means recording your screens, editing, captioning, and re-cutting it for every platform's size and length — hours of work, every launch.
Screen recording and editing eat an afternoon you'd rather spend building.
Every channel wants a different size and runtime — so one demo becomes six.
Uploading raw footage to a SaaS editor means your unreleased product leaves your machine.
One command in, six reels out
Six platform-ready cuts
Full, GitHub, Twitter/X, Product Hunt, Instagram, and TikTok — each rendered at the right dimensions and timing, from one script.
Captions burned in
Captions are baked into the video, so it lands with the sound off — the way most feeds play. No extra step.
Optional AI voice
Want narration? Add an ElevenLabs key and Demo Maker speaks your script. Captions-only needs no key and no account.
No servers to start
If your product is a set of pages, Demo Maker serves and films them itself. You don't stand anything up.
You stay in control
It drafts the script from your codebase; you review and tweak before a single frame renders.
Local-only, no key required
Your code and your video render entirely on your machine. Any key you add stays in a file on your computer — never in the chat.
Install, start, render
Install
Download demo-maker.zip from your Demo Maker page and unzip it into the project you want to demo, as a hidden helper folder. Then run the initializer. In Terminal, opened in your project folder, paste the commands below and press Enter — the last line runs the initializer that sets everything up.
unzip demo-maker.zip -d .demo-maker-plugin
bash .demo-maker-plugin/dm-init.shStart
Open the project in your AI tool and say “start demo-maker.” It checks your setup, detects your project, and asks a few quick creative questions.
start demo-makerReview the script
Demo Maker writes the demo script from your codebase. Read it, tweak anything, and approve.
Render
It films your product and renders the cuts — captions always, narration too if you added a key. Your MP4s land in OUTPUTS_DEMO_MAKER/. Every command is listed in the README included in your download.

Frequently asked questions
Does my code leave my machine?
No. Demo Maker renders entirely on your computer. If you add an ElevenLabs key for narration, it stays in a local file and never goes through the chat.
Do I need an API key?
Not for captions — a full captioned reel needs no key and no account. A key is only needed if you want spoken AI narration (ElevenLabs, free tier covers ~10 minutes/month).
What does Free include?
Up to 5 projects, fully: all six platform cuts with captions burned in, rendered locally.
What do I get with Pro?
The same features as Free — the only difference is unlimited projects instead of 5. Pro is $19.99/year, cancel anytime, no refunds.
Which tools does it work in?
Claude (Desktop, Cowork, VS Code), Cursor, and Codex — any AI agent with chat that reads AGENTS.md.
Is there support, and can I try it first?
It's self-serve: the README and the docs included in your download cover install, every command, and troubleshooting. And you get 5 full projects free, so you can decide whether it's useful before upgrading to Pro.
One pipeline from build to launch
Each Maker module is an AI harness: a fixed expert method your AI tool executes against your project's real evidence — so every step of the pipeline (capture → case study → demo → launch → post → website) ships consistent, graded output instead of generic AI copy.
